Forgot to rate this. It was okayyyyy. Not that memorable, but def not horrendously bad or anything. Don’t think I’ll read the author again, as I think I may not love her male leads.
Piper is so annoying like I couldn’t read it without trying to resist to scream at her

It was so cheesy (honestly a little too spicy) but cute. I don’t like when the male is a sweetheart but talks dirty in the bedroom. They’re always having sex and it was a little bit much.
This is a book about a socialite/ig famous girl, Piper, who is sent to Westport WA which is a fishing town. She falls in love with Brandon - the captain. Her biological dad was a fisher as well but died fishing. There’s a bar in town that the locals take care of, she renovated it and made it into a functioning bar. Of course, Piper and Brandon end up together.
I don’t love when a book is in third person so I struggled with that. I feel like I can’t relate to the characters as well. Brandon is grumpy sunshine. He wants to make sure Piper is safe. At one point, Brandon goes on a salmon fishing trip in Alaska and there’s a typhoon and Piper freaks out and goes to Brandons house to stay because that’s where she’s finding comfort. Then she hears there was an accident and goes to the hospital. Someone on Brandon’s crew has been hurt and Piper goes to the hospital in Brandon’s shirt and Brandon is horny and fucks Piper in the hospital.

Me sorprendió mucho la historia, no pensé que me gustara tanto a pesar de tener tantas ganas de leerlo.
Me gustó mucho la evolución de Pipper, al principio la pintan como la típica rubia tonta superficial y que no tiene dos dedos de frente. Según avanza la historia vamos viendo que poco a poco va cambiando gracias al cambio de aires que la obligan hacer. Los cambios debido a su entorno hacer que se muestre su verdadera personalidad risueña y vulnerable por todos los comentarios que a tenido que soportar por si comportamiento a lo largo de los años. Hay momentos muy buenos debido a las cosas absurdas que le pasan como por ejemplo la fiesta a la que le invita Mick por el recordatorio de su hija
Me encantó que Brendan sea tan atento cariño y sepa ver más haya de lo que muestra y que salga de su zona de confort.
No me gustó nada Daniel el padrastro de Pipper aunque lo puedo llegar a comprender. No me gustaron algunos comentarios hirientes que la hace. Mick me gustaba pero hace algunas cosas que me parecieron muy feas a Pipper.
Me hubiera gustado que se hablara un poco más de la reforma del bar. Las decisiones de la madre para omitir detalles del pasado me parecieron feísimos
