I’ve been waiting for this hold since July 31st; the book is everywhere. I must be missing something, as I found it incredibly subpar. I was speed reading to avoid a DNF and the story finally picked up halfway through. We saw a wee bit of growth to the characters but it was mismatched with the pace of their relationship. The sex scenes seemed out of character and I felt author tried *too hard* with the sex scenes. A little less cringe-y conversation, during sex, would have been better lol. Maybe this book had the unfortunate luck of coming after two great reads and, with its long wait, much better quality romance/erotica. Hard no to a reread.

Spoiled, dim-witted rich girl meets deadliest catch. Unlikeable main love interest with extremely cringy “spice”.
It just felt like a typical girl moves back to hometown because something happened to her in a big city so in that small town she meets a guy that doesn’t like her at first but then they fall in love. Is there a word for that? Lol
Cute!!! Enjoyable!!! Nothing new, but well written and likeable. It was giving Schitt’s Creek meets a Hallmark Christmas movie rom com. You know exactly what’s going to happen, but the characters are quippy and grow a lot. I also liked that the sister was there in the small town with the main character, and she was super down to earth and loving. The climax fight is a bit ridiculous and I definitely think the dude was acting stupid but… I guess it all worked out in the end.
