From the outset, David Collins demonstrates that above all else he is an English professor. I enjoyed how he injected emotional & lyrical language into a story rife with legal technicalities. At times, I teared up. Although Collins is not a legal expert by any means, he does a fair job explaining the stages a lawsuit, from filing to appeals to a final judgment.

I also liked how it slyly measured progress: mentioning that in 1997 JC Penney refused to advertise during Ellen, but then featured her in a 2012 commercial.
