This book somehow blew me away and left me wanting more. The themes of souls "echoing" through time and history repeating itself reminded me or Marquez. It felt like six short stories interconnected, in both bad and good ways.

Wow, what an amazingly well-crafted novel. Now I want to re-read it just to capture even more of the intricately weaved details.

The sense of peeling back the layers of an onion in this book is very intriguing. I really enjoyed all of the characters and got quite engaged in all of their stories. But I think I am still trying to understand where the book really went, and what its ultimate message is. Is it simply that all of our actions will affect the future, into infinity?

I did LOVE the way every story related back via a different media - journal, collected letters, a book, a movie, and a hologram. It was fascinating the way Mitchell carried on everyone's narrative. And once I understood the structure, I was eager to get back to "familiar faces" and see how their stories played out. It is kind of reminiscent of picking up a sequel and being reunited with an old friend - but you got that sense all within the same book.

I feel like I'll have more to say on this book once its really sunk in, and I talk about it with others. But right now...I think I just need to continue processing.
