Very fun continuation of Laurel's story. However, be warned, this book is much about the love triangle drama and not a whole lot about the fairy issues. (I appear to be Team Tamani if anyone is keeping track.)I thought this was a trilogy! But no! There's more! And a good thing too because stuff was just starting to happen! If this sort of thing bothers you, I'd say wait until the next book and read this one and that one together. Ugh, I'm going to go crazy....
I loved the plot. I was in suspense the entire time. The love triangle got a little over the top but it was written beautifully. I hated the clifhanger though. But it leads up to the next book which i am anxious to start.
All the pieces of this series are falling together. Tamani goes to Laural's high school to protect her. My heart was breaking for Tamani when he has to see Laurel with David. Previously I did not like Tamani and liked David, however, with Illusions that is flipping. Unlike some of the other books I will put into this gendra each book in this series gets better. This was a great book and I'm looking forward to the conclusion.

Laurel was very indecisive between the two love interests... and I was annoyed.

It was an exciting book. The love triangle seems to be getting somewhere. As much as I enjoy them usually, I hope it will be solved in the next book before it looses its interests to me.
Was I the only one to guess that Yuki was a Winter fey? I think it was pretty obvious. Though I am not sure I am as freaked as everyone about it. Maybe a bit of posibility of what could happen (more then she can kill us all) would have intrigued me a bit more?
It was lovely that Ms Pike took the time to explore the feelings and differences of the characters. Sadly a lot of books these days just go through them so fast. I think there should be balance though with the action, which was in my opinion a bit lacking.
As for Chelsea, is that only me or I see things getting pretty predictable in her regards. David realizes he likes her, moves on and is happpy, which will permit Laurel to choose Tamani in good conscience... instead of making the choice on her own the circonstances choose for her. I hope it will be less predictable than that.
That being said, I really loved the book. I will really look forward to the next one.
