Very good

This Book was ok i supossed. i loved all the others and is yet to read #4

This whole series is amazing. This book was a huge part of the story, and it reminded me of Twilight too. It's the second to last book, and it ends with the story at it's peak.

The book starts out with Tamani becoming a student at Laurel's school. He does this in order to protect her since the last encounter with trolls was a close call. Even though the sentries are watching over Laurel and her friends and family, they can't be everywhere.

During the night of a dance at school, Laurel, Tam, Chelsea, Ryan, David, and a new foreign exchange student, Yuki, are on the way home when they run into trolls. Yuki is a friend of Klea, and Laurel was asked to watch over her because she isn't human. Klea and Yuki know that she is not human, but only Laurel, David, Chelsea, and Tam know that she is actually a faerie. They just don't know how much Yuki actually knows, nor do they know what seaason of faerie Yuki is.

With Tam and David both going to the same school, Laurel wrestles with her feelings between the two along with dealing with trolls, faerie training, and trying to find information about Yuki and Klea. You will be extrememly surprised with the results.

Illusions is the third installment of Aprilynne Pike's Wings series. While the first two books were incredible, Illusions surpasses them by leaps and bounds. There is just so much to like about this book! First of all, it feels like all of the characters have now been fully developed. They feel like real people (or faeries) with real emotions. Each character has his or her own struggles to deal with and the emotions that come along with those struggles are definitely felt by the reaer. Laurel is dealing with a lot of hard decisions. She struggles with those decisions and really takes some time to reflect on the reasons behind her actions. She's grown enough to think about how her actions and decisions effect the people around her and struggles with how to make things right for both her and the people she cares about. Tamani is struggling between doing his job and dealing with his feelings for Laurel. Tamani really is the star of this book. He becomes so much more than just Laurel's link to Avalon. He is pure, raw emotion and Pike's writing allows the reader to feel everything he's feeling-his love for Laurel, his need to protect her, his sense of duty, his fear that his patience will not pay off, his uncertainty, his confidence in his abilities, his guilt over decieving Yuki and how it makes him feel like he's betraying Laurel, and his jealousy over David and Laurel's relationship. Tamani's character was a true pleasure to read. Calm, dependable David struggles with his insecurities about Laurel and Tamani's releationship and because of this, we eventually see a darker side to his personality. Chelsea struggles with her own relationship and her lingering feelings for David. And, in the midst of all of these struggles, we have the actually story line. Tamani and his men are trying to protect Laurel from some unseen evil which they cannot name and are only able to catch glimpses of. It leaves all of the characters not knowing who they can and cannot trust.

What a cliff hanger!

This was a great book! It was a bit to many parts when nothing happend except Laurel thinking and love-problems, but there were some good parts of that too. There was a bit to few parts were it acctually happend something exciting, but when it did I loved it!
One thing that was different in this book compared to the two other was that there were no really end, it felt like the book was suposed to continue another 20 pages. That really made me wanna read the next book, NOW! Can't wait ^^ And I have so many idéas for who the bad guy could be, it's kind of freaky that we still don't really know :P And I heard that the next book is going to cover a 24 houre periode, how on earht is that going to work?

I think this was the worst book in the series.
Laurel was annoying and whiny, Tamani was rude and a prick, I sympathised with David and Chelsea was annoying as well.
I ended up skipping the last few pages.
I also really don't like Tamani anymore.

I listen to this book on audio and okay for once I' wishing I didn't plan my year of books because I want the next one like now with that ending

I have thought that this is a good series since the first book, Wings, and it just keeps getting better with each book. In Illusions, we get a lot more of Tamani which is a GREAT thing, in my opinion. Tamani is still protecting Laurel but this time it is from an unknown threat. Trolls are also still lurking but something has changed which causes the faeries to feel vulnerable. I highly recommend this series to anyone that likes series with adventure, a little suspense, and of course love.

I really like this series. It's an easy read with likeable characters and a good plot :)
