The Younger Wife

Sally Hepworth

3.65 AVERAGE

It was an interesting read, I wish it was a little more thriller-y (is that a word?). Just an average book, not sure if I’ll pick up another book by her.

It was fine, but I think this one knocked me out of my dysfunctional family drama reading stage. Life is heavy, and I'm reading some heavier nonfiction lately, so I needed some mindless fiction. There was nothing particularly wrong with this book, but also nothing I loved. A bit far-fetched, an ending that was barely believable, characters that were just ok.

Easy simple read, but felt a little like a light Colleen Hoover.

A woman has a compulsive eating disorder but it's okay because shes's just curvy enough to be beautiful. (?!?)

Women are being physically abused but have only a slight inkling about it. (?!?)

I did like learning about Austalian house auctions.
