I have so my mixed feelings about this book. I found the use of questions to navigate the protagonist's life to be a creative and engaging storytelling technique. But the content gives me mixed feelings which I feel like it is not my place to comment on.

Very good book! I read this first and then saw the movie Slumdog Millionaire. I liked the book much better. Couldn't put it down!

I liked this book. However it was homophobic, which bothers me deeply. It’s hard to know how to rate a good book with a fatal flaw.

Very different from the movie. The plot is the same, but all of the names are changed save one and all of the questions are changed save one. The reason why he's on the show is different, but the root of it is still about a girl. With that aside, the book was still written well and still provoked the same feelings from watching the movie.

The writing seems to be a stream of consciousness kind of style and hate it.
The author also didn't establish enough personality for the main character to really care for him. He doesn't feel like a real person but just robot reciting several incidents.
I watched the movie and cried so I am very disappointed with the book.

addictive plot and casual, interesting writing style throughout, but i wish it wasn't so homophobic.

Ending was kind of cheesy but I still liked it.
