YESSSSS. Do I have a thing for books that remind me of my current show binge Pretty Little Liars? Why yes, I think I do. This book had it all; scandal, lies, betrayal, hidden agendas, "mean girls" clique at the center of it all, and most of all.... MURDER. I loved this one, and loved the things that came to light during the fallout of the murder.

It was okay. I didn't totally know who the killer was gonna be so that's good. But it was also a really messy book with very few likable characters (if any?). Which isn't always a problem, if they're also interesting. These characters were probably not interesting enough. It wasn't a bad way to spend my time but this definitely won't stick with me. Oh well.

If you enjoy a good private school setting with pretty horrible characters and want to just turn your mind off and turn the pages a while, here's a decent young adult popcorn thriller for you.

I've read worse. But I've also read better. I liked the concept of each girl is tired to an Ivy League school. That was an interesting hook, and we have a MC we can root for. It's an easy read, so it will have wide YA appeal. But the adults reading YA may roll their eyes a bit.

Another thriller under my belt, and this one from a youtuber I quite enjoy. I find Alexa's videos informative and helpful as someone who also wants to be traditionally published.

I do think her craft has improved from her first two books, though she sometimes struggles with infodumps, especially at the beginning. I wish she had found a way to spread those out a bit more.

If you're a thriller reader this isn't going to bring you anything terribly new or shocking, but for a teen just starting out with thrillers this might be just the thing. An enjoyable read that was extremely easy to pick up, but also nothing overly special.

There will be a full review on my youtube channel.

pretty good book loved the pace and plot but felt it was like good girls guide to murder like it was inspired but it and since i have already that book it felt a little repetitive from a good girls guide but other then that found it was very interesting and was definitely suspenseful and kept me guessing who the killer was
