The storyline, including the mystery that unfolds, was intriguing at first. However, too many twists and bizarre turns emerged making me feel like I just couldn't connect with the characters. Then... the ending. Ugh!!! Awful. I usually enjoy Hilderbrand's work, but not this one.
Reads like Jan Green (the newer not the older books). Didn't figure out it was a reissue when I started it. Cougar alert (before cougars were invented in pop culture).
Wow, this was by far the WORST Elin hilderbrand book I've ever read. Agree with many other reviews saying that the characters are also awful. The only character I don't totally hate is Raoul. Ugh.
I read this one quick after just having read & fallen in love with 28 summers. Nantucket nights hooked me, but then it fell flat when things took an unusual turn, and honestly I wasn’t a fan of that turn at all. Felt gross to me. The ending was nice, but this wasn’t my favorite Hilderbrand book.
This book was decent. The plot kept moving well and I liked the change of voice from each character. Kayla annoyed me but overall it kept my attention.
Read the whole thing in one day. Loved it, until the end. Too many questions left unanswered, and the ending just wasn't realistic.

I had no idea where this book was going and was left disappointed. The beginning was intriguing but it fell apart for me when I found out about Theo. Left a bitter taste in my mouth. It wasn’t super long thankfully but I wouldn’t recommend.

Not one of my favorite Elin books. The main characters were very not likeable at all. I enjoyed the mystery aspect of it but the ending felt rushed and I wish there was one more chapter to tie up loose ends
This is one of Hilderbrand's first books from her backlist. I thought it was great, until her 'friends' (of twenty years) reacted to a situation. Their behavior caused me to pause and lose the rhythm of the book. Though it wasn't quite for me, I will still enjoy her current books.
