Felt like a complete waste of time. Un-relatable characters, next to no chatacter development, and the most unsatisfying ending I’ve ever read. I wanted to throw this book into the fire when I finished it.

Honestly, I really liked the overall idea of this book! But the ending wasn't what I hoped for. Not in the way it ended exactly, but with the fact that it all of a sudden just ended. We never got any closure really. For us as readers, or even half of the characters. We didn't get to see their lives or reactions to the outcome, and I wanted something more.

There was a lot going on in this short book character wise. Unlike other Elin books, the main characters did not capture my attention much. I couldn't connect with any of them, and I found myself questioning how the 3 of them had remained friends for as long as they have.

Also, I really wanted to like Kayla, and in some ways I thought she was great. But her overall constant insecurity with her husband and herself bothered me. and probably more because she never actually asked him outright if he was faithful within their marriage. She let her own fears dictate how she saw him, and in a way how she saw herself.

Because of all the emotions running high I was VERY happy with the multiple perspectives!! Huge fan of that!! It made me really like Raoul's character, and maybe that's why I was bothered so much by Kayla's projection of him.

This wasn't my first Elin book, and I already have more of hers that I plan to read. Overall, I'm glad I read this story, though I'm not sure if I'll be rereading it for a while.

Wasn’t expecting the twist. Captivating read, but once I got to the end there was so much that didn’t make sense. Why did Antoinette choose Theo? If she wanted a kid there were other ways without destroying her friendship or theo’s life.

DID NOT FINISH: 65%

The amount of sexual content with no warning and the descriptions made me want to vomit every time. This is not the Elin Hilderbrand I enjoy reading!
