The ending of a book has never made me more angry. I liked this book till the last 2 chapters.

DID NOT FINISH: 29%

This book is problematic. The ways Antoinette is described are frankly racist (she looked like she should be in a street corner in New York asking for change?!!) and the Theo story is just gross. I hated everyone and it didn’t have enough Nantucket for me to push through. Also, as others have said, what is the deal with the one daughter being “Cassidy B.”?!

This book is so unnecessarily sick and twisted. I wish I could go back to who I was yesterday when I hadn’t ruined my brain with this

I was prepared for the characters to be unlikeable (and their "friendship" unbelievable) but wow. That said...I finished it (lol)

This was the dumbest book I have ever read. None of it was believable. Especially the ending.
slow-paced

I always rate books with unlikeable characters low . . . but —seriously— these people are terrible. It took me forever to read this because I just didn’t want to pick it back up. I’m positive that this is just not my genre; I can see why other readers might enjoy it, but definitely not my cup of tea. 😬
