Wow. Vicious was a 5 before I read this. This book has changed my scale. Vicious is now a 4.9 and this book is a solid 5. I’m attached to all of these characters and the ending of this book was incredible. So many things happened in such a short amount of time and I am desperately waiting for book 3 now. Definitely a page turner, I got through all 462 pages in less than 2 days.

i think maybe v.e. schwabs writing just does not draw me in that much. this was a good continuation of vicious but i wish #1

june and sydney's relationship went a bit farther

and #2 i cared about the characters more. marcella is fun but that's kinda it tbh. not painful to read but not a recommendation from me

dnf @ 23% - i loved the first book so much i even gave it 5* but i couldnt really get into this one and im not sure why, maybe it's because of the reading slump or maybe i just dont like it
one day i'll give it another chance (hopefully)

Unmemorable and plotless.

The new characters were okay-ish but I certainly didn't feel anything for them. There was so much potential for the story but this ended up as just a rip off from the X-Men.

On the other hand, I love Schwab's writing style. So maybe the third book will be better?
