I don’t know what made me so desperate to read this book, but halfway through August I was just itching to get my hands on it. This was when I gave up on having my sister pick my TBR for me, but I am really glad I did.

I thought this book was fine. You all know I’m not the biggest Cassandra Clare fan, so I wasn’t expecting anything extraordinary and, while it was certainly better than City of Fallen Angels, I still felt a little let down by this book. I just didn’t care about any of the story lines and, besides the infernal cup, everything was so predictable to me.

Not only fake incest but real incest (non-consensual but still)
Clary kind of popped off ngl

this was so not worth the three months it took to read it

As with all the other books, this one started out slowly but picked up and the ending was awesome, although I wish the final part was longer because it felt important, so I wish we spent a little more time in that section. Other than that, this series is soooooo good and I’m nervous but excited for the final book!! If Jace or clary dies I will throw hands. 🙌🏻
AND WHY DID MAGNUS AND ALEC HAVE TO BREAK UP AHHHH
