I think this deserves 5 stars but i almost marked it 4 simply because i have SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!!!!
beginning was rough, didn’t captivate me. i think haldens character was really unnecessary. at first i thought the point of him was to remind us we’re dealing with kids but then i read something that said they’re all 22-27yrs olds for the most part and he just gave me the ick from then on. i do think we needed him for aaric though.
andarna…. just. yeah. i would reread this just for andarna honestly.
tairn and xaden both kinda felt really far away during this book. i missed them a lot. they were there but like…. never felt present. at all.
ridoc and bodhi… i’ve got nothing to say other than i love them and i want to be their friend. they’re who i would tag if i got a “if you and one friend have to *insert literally anything here* for whatever you want in life” i would choose either of them in a heartbeat.

cat and maren, both deserve better. honestly rebecca did them dirty.

anyways the book is good. if u haven’t read it, read it. just arrange to have reddit open 20 seconds after finishing it. we thought we were putting puzzle pieces together in sarahjmassverse but idk guys.. this is kinda crazy.

Love the character development in this one! Violet is a baddie, and Aaric gets the MVP award from me.

So far this has been my least favorite book of this series. It jumped between new characters before they were fully introduced and the lack of information to the reader was kinda confusing. Still a fan of the series so I have lots of hope for the next book!

Very slow to start for me; felt like it didn’t pick up until halfway through. It also felt like about a dozen new threads were thrown at us with no resolution on any of them, but I’ll chalk that up to a middle-book issue. Still fun, though!
