i was so confused at times because i felt like right when we were seeing something interesting the book jumped to something else. also i thought we were gonna get more of the girl group dynamic / storyline. there was no storyline! the group ended before it even began.
now, my biggest annoyance with this book was ALL the talk about sex! it made me uncomfortable because it sounded weird and unnatural at times. i don’t know how to describe but it really pissed me off, amber mentioned sex at the most random points in conversations, like she was obsessed with it or something, and it was just cringy imo. the more i read this book the angrier i got ngl.

I think this story needed more Gwen and less men. Unfortunately, this book acted like the tabloids only giving us emotion in relation to whatever man is orbiting Amber the closet.
Gwen is the most interesting person in the book and we only skate over her!
I think the Sabrina character feels like wasted space - she only serves to act as a foil to Amber and we never know her as anything other than virginal and young.
I wish this book made the three Popstar of the day the center of the story rather than so many men but it was still a fun and nostalgic read.
