I feel conflicted on this rating, because there were parts I genuinely enjoyed and I think the deeper message of this book was important. Especially in this modern age when we over sexualize girls, and continue to shame sexuality. I couldn't help but to think about the new rise of pop music again (Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter) and how they both sing about sex and are unapologetic about it. Women have sex get over it, and there is nothing wrong with casual sex!
The ending was perfect, like hehehehehe loved who she ended up with!

Lovely debut novel following a rising teen pop star in the late 90s/ early 00s. It was nostalgic in both cute and dark ways. Really enjoyed this one!

Wow this was painful to read. Half way through I commuted to hate-read it. The writing is so cheesy and shallow. It’s basically a generic retelling of pop icons like Brittney Spears.
