If you enjoyed The Hangover, than NAUGHTY KING is going to be a book that you truly enjoy. What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas and changes everything.
Alexander King is an ass, but his drive to be the best and to keep his father's business at the top requires him to be that way. He's sexy as hell, knows it, but can't commit to anything with a woman longer than it takes for him to get him off and collect her paycheck. Not really a guy you'd be falling all over, but the author makes it work.
Margo Buchanan is his new assistant. A ploy in King's latest takeover scheme to make sure the man who's business he is taking over behaves. But there is so much more to Margo and she's a woman willing to do what it takes to help save her father's failing business. She's a likable character and there is more to her than some fancy window dressing.
I didn't want Margo to fall for a-hole Alexander...no matter how good looking he was. But an over-the-top client/bff to Alexander makes that virtually impossible. We discover there's more behind Alexander's a-hole exterior. Of course, we discover that almost at the end of the novella, but it's enough of a hook to have me interested in what happens next. Yamata, Alexander's client/bff, was over the top and way too similar to Mr. Chow from the Hangover, but he plays a role in getting our hero and heroine together. For that, I can look the other way and wait for FIESTY PRINCESS.

From the opening scene where he forces Margo to watch him use an escort to the end scene......Alexander King is a force to be reckoned with. Would I read on? Yes. The cliffhanger ending did pique my curiosity. The only thing I didn't like was Alexander blowing hot then cold. Overall entertainment was three and a half stars.

The characters were 2d and unlikable. The development of the relationship between the characters was non-existent, maybe if the book was longer it could've been developed?
The plot was boring, predictable and the ending doesn't make me want to pick up the next installment.

I wasn't expecting the book to have to many funny moments, so if was a very good surprise. This was many first book by Michelle and I loved if. There's so much heat coming off the MC's it's amazing. I really enjoyed it. On to book 2

I love Michelle Valentine and her books! Naughty King is hot, sexy, hilarious and at the end I actually screamed, covered my mouth and laughed OUT LOUD! Alexander is a shrewd business man who gets everything and everyone he wants. Always. He's trying to purchase a company and in return, he takes the owners daughter, Margo, as his assistant. He wants her badly, but she knows him for the asshole that he is! He tried to push her away and make her uncomfortable so she will quit, but she's the first woman to ever stand up to Alexander. When a business trip has them both flying off for the weekend to Vegas, hilarity and off the charts sex ensue. I needed a damn fan and a cold shower! I love drunken scenes in books. They are always epic. What can go wrong when Alexander and Margo start a drinking contest where every one shot for her is two for him. Somewhere around seven to fourteen you know something awesome is going to go down! Naughty King ends in one of the best cliffhangers I've read in years! Awesome!!

Cliffhanger. Short story. Good but not the best of her work. Think I will wait for a box set to finish for the prices of these short serial parts.
