Really interesting memoir! I first heard of Kristen on Fast Foodies and I had no idea she was from Michigan! Incredibly personal and vulnerable, fascinating read!

I would have liked more cooking and less philosophizing. Second half in particular felt very preachy. I think her editors could've been more helpful encouraging her to "show, don't tell" through her writing. Too bad because her life story is an interesting one.

I listened to the audiobook, so it took me a little longer, since I don't seem to find that much time to listen. I really enjoyed it, it was narrated by the author, which wAs great.
