fun hockey book

This is a cute single dad, sisters best friend romance. I enjoyed it. Evan was really cute and I always love a really good hockey romance.
fast-paced

Way to fast paced have me whiplash

“Sometimes you just have to push that fear aside and live. You once told me that if I let her walk away, it would be the biggest mistake of my life. Take your own advice.”
Holland and Reed are absolutely amazing. I loved these two so much, and little Evan even more. I was gripped from page one of this story and didn't put it down until it was over.

This was such a enjoyable read. Daddy Reed was sweet, charming and cute. Honestly, if I were Holland I would have fall for him just the same. Their chemistry is evident since their first time together and they were completely compatible in and out of bed. That t-shirt scene was the best! And I loved the drama and how everything happened, it felt natural and their reactions to it were perfect. My first Maren Moore but definitely not my last, I have already order her first two books!

This book was so good. My first read by this author and I was in love. A bachelor who wasn’t ready to settle but learns he has to take guardianship of his nephew. So there were highs and lows in this book. But the overall chemistry sucked me in lol definitely recommend reading it.

Chirp listen narrated by Alex Kydd (second time to listen to him) and Emma Wilder.

Not a favorite book. I thought maybe it would work for me but I realized it’s a no. The trope is her best friend’s forbidden brother. Nothing new there, I don’t mind it usually but I didn’t feel like this book was fleshed out enough for the seriousness of the events and circumstances. The immaturity in actions and thoughts just didn’t work.

I had high hopes for Alex, I’m really wanting to expand my narrator pool, getting into a rut, but he had this sort of Keanu Reeves sound, so I had to increase speed to 1.5 and I hate when that happens. I finished the book really fast and I would prefer to let it go on 1.0 so it lasts. When I forgot to slow the speed down, so then Emma had a Minnie Mouse feel to it. Yeah, Keanu and Minnie

I am absolutely loving these hockey romances from Maren Moore! I am hooked.

Change on the Fly features one of my favorite tropes, sibling’s best friend, and it was so good. From the way Reed helps Holland with the household things, to the way he treats her dad, to how Holland knows to go to Reed for anything, to how Holland helps Reed with Evan, I just loved it all.

I even enjoyed how the big dramatic moment played out, and the ultimate resolution to that.

Looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Best friend’s brother. While he is a pro, she is still in school (close in age though - no age gap). It was easy to read, but definitely tried to make it a bit more dramatic than it was at points. I think I would have enjoyed this more as a young adult. 3.25-3.5 stars.

The narrator for the audio was good. I am glad I listened to it.

A cool take on a single parent romance however I’m not a big fan of pining for years before a romance develops.

This isn’t the best book I’ve ever read. Not even the best single father book I’ve ever read. But it was cute. I feel like it lacked the detail about Reed’s relationship with Evan and sped through things. But overall was good.
