Once I started reading this book it was hard to put down. Fast, easy read. The plot starts plotting on the first page and doesn't stop until the very end!
The representation for Alzheimer's and how it effects the families life as well as the person who was diagnosed, 10/10. The representation for a new parent wanting to be better than their parent.. 1000/10! I loved this book so so much!

It's a good low-stakes, light-hearted novel for when you don’t want to think too much, which it did accomplish very well. Unfortunately, neither the narrators nor the plot both hit for me. Another reviewed mentioned that it was supposed to be funny, and I would never have guessed if not for that review. My plan was to listen to the series while doing menial tasks at work but I don’t think I’ll continue.

Gli sport romance sono decisamente uno dei miei generi preferiti e anche se qui la componente sportiva viene lasciata molto sullo sfondo questo romanzo mi è piaciuto molto. Per me ha una buona dose di tutto: scene spicy, romantiche ed emozionanti. Una lettura davvero piacevole, in cui l'autrice è riuscita a trattare temi molto importanti con il giusto rispetto e con molta delicatezza, quasi in punta di piedi. I protagonisti sono molto ben caratterizzati e le descrizioni dei luoghi sono bellissime, tanto che il lettore riesce a visualizzare facilmente tutto. Nonostante la trama molto semplice e, in alcuni casi, scontata ho apprezzato molto i tratti più "originali" della vicenda. Avrei forse preferito un po' più spazio per Evan e per lo sport ma sono solo gusti personali.
Fast paced and a quick read/listen! Devoured this one and loved how sweet Holland and Reed are together. Especially with Evan in their lives too!! The tension is so palpable, especially since Holland has been pining over Reed for years and Reed is also obsessed with her after seeing the woman she had become!

This just wasn’t funny the blurb is funnier than anything in the book didn’t laugh once. Maybe it’s not meant to be funny but I found it under rom com and usually hockey books are either fun or hot this is neither. It’s just a contemporary that takes itself too seriously and falls flat there is no meat to this book.
