With every book that [a: Maren Moore |21406168|Maren Moore|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1622220765p2/21406168.jpg] publishes within this universe I fall more and more in love. Especially with this story, since I was fascinated with Reed from [b: The Newspaper Nanny |58177425|The Newspaper Nanny|Maren Moore|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1624924638l/58177425._SY75_.jpg|91190201] and now it's my favorite Puck Daddie, his story with Holland & Evan it's amazing.

Reed is the typical professional athlete, handsome and a womanizer who doesn't have serious relationships in his plans. He loves deeply his mom and his younger sister Emery. Reed is charismatic, funny, cocky and flirtatious, but behind his simple and pleasant personality lies a wounded and vulnerable man who has a fear of commitment. This character is my favorite of Maren so far, I loved reading more about his friendship with Liam and how important he, the girls and Juliet are in Reed's life, but what I enjoyed the most was reading the growth he had in this book, his doubts when it came time to take care of Evan and the ease with which he fell in love with the little one, how he became a tender, adorable and responsible father, even when that was not in his plans, the way in which he discovered his feelings for Holland and his decisions in the most important moments.

Holland is a sweet girl, a little shy, a book lover and Emery's best friend, she has always been in love with Reed, but has kept the secret very well. She takes care of her sick father and her financial situation is complicated, so she agrees to accompany Reed in his games away from home so that he can create a bond with Evanve, but everything gets complicated when Holland & Reed begin to form their own bond and she becomes an important part in the lives of both boys.

I have to say that I loved that the relationship between these two started as something casual, because I loved their dynamics, but what I loved the most was that Holland was the one who established the rules of their encounters. I think from the beginning it's quite obvious that Reed & Holland are for each other, and I really enjoyed reading them discovering it, I loved their constant flirtation, especially from Reed, how innocent and sensual Holland could be and the ease with which they and Evan fell into a familiar routine. Also, I think the conflict in this story was quite original and fun.

And as always, Maren Moore gives us a great little glimpse into the lives of her previous characters, this time Liam & Juliet, which made me very happy, as well as a small preview of what we can expect for her next book, which is the second in this wonderful series and the fourth in this world of perfect men that she has created, highly recommended, by the way.

I read this because I really liked Maren Moore's "A Festive Feud" and also enjoyed her "Mistletoe Bet", but this one was kind of a miss for me. I didn't hate it so I'm still giving it three stars, but it wasn't my favorite book.

Reed becomes the guardian of his three year old nephew and (as a mother) that was all I could think about. When Reed and Holland were hooking up in the hotel rooms, where was this child? Did they have a baby monitor? Were they helping this child adjust to the death of his parents?? Evan (the child) felt like a random prop in the story (which is sort of fine bc I didn't come to read this for a story about becoming a child's guardian but ...

I felt like I never really connected with any of the characters and lots of things were mentioned once and not again or sort of glossed over.

It does look like this book was published before her Christmas books (which I enjoyed) so I'll definitely be reading more of Maren Moore, but likely won't be rereading this one.

Very cute book. It was cookie cutter cute which isn't a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination. Sometimes, its nice going into a story knowing how things are going to turn out.

I'm loving these characters and their friends. I feel like I'm missing a book about Liam and Jules though.

This was fine. I liked the characters and there were some good scenes. It just felt like there could have been much more done with the story. There were also some plots holes that left me questioning a few things. Overall it was fine- short and to the point. Everything you thought would happen does and nothing is drawn out.

Such a quick yet cute and HOT read. Maren knows how to write fictional men let me tell ya 😛🔥🧎🏻‍♀️
