I love reading hockey romances since I am a huge hockey fan. This story did not disappoint in providing a good light hearted Hockey read with a bit of smut mixed into the mix. Overall, I would recommend this book for people to read even with the issues I had with the story. :)

Some of the favorite things about this book that I enjoyed was that the team was called Chicago Avalanche. I'm a die-hard Colorado Avalanche fan who likes the Chicago Blackhawks when they aren't playing each other so this was wonderful, though I would have liked a Colorado setting over a Chicago setting but that's the hockey fan in me. I also really enjoyed the fact that Hollins was working on being a librarian as that was something I have considered trying to be. Reed taking in his half-sisters son was a nice twist of single dad-hood, since you typically get the storyline that they just found out about their kid, their a widow, or the wife took a hike.

The only issues I had with the story is there seemed to be aspects written into the story that had some potential to add depth to the story and they just fell short. Example: the blind date guy could have been brought back into the story as Hollins mentions that she could be friends with him and that she thought he was gay. Or the fact Reed storms into the "date" and they leave but Emery never really brings it up. There also seemed to be some inconsistencies like, the arena was bigger than their small town but their in the Chicago area? and that Emery is a serial single but she was seeing the coworker? And last the issues that Reed has with his Father. It's hinted at many times he has issues with his father abandoning him and maybe he will reconcile since he's dying but then nothing ever really comes from those statements.

Such a cute series!!! I loved every second & could not wait to see the ending! This story holds your heart hostage the entire time! Evan, Harlow and Reed are the cutest family & I cannot wait to start the next!

It was good but like short and I felt parts of the story was missing

just boring

I loved Reed and Holland's story.
It was sweet, playful, with a decent amount of steam and a bit of drama.

Reed was caring, considerate, kind, and so incredibly charming - it was hard not to fall for him.
Holland was kind, thoughtful, and gentle.
I absolutely LOVED Evan.

All the secondary characters were great, I loved meeting them all.
And Briggs in the hospital?
Yeah, I can't wait to see what that is all about.

Yes!! I loved this. I adored this entire series ( which I accidentally read out of order. Whoops ). I have wanted to read Holland and Reeds story for so long because I fell in love with these characters In mother books. If you loved the newspaper nanny those characters are very prevalent in this story. It was definitely fast paced but that’s normal for this authors books. I loved this story and the connection. Watching Reed be a dad was so cute and I loved his son so much. This story had me gripped the entire time and I couldn’t put it down.
