This is such a great intro to the series!

This is perfect for lovers of hockey romance, sisters best friend and single dads/guardians and Maren nailed those tropes. I loved how quickly and selflessly Reed upended his life to take Evan in and what a little cutie

Loved how Evan and Pickles made them into an insta-family
& now I'm ready to continue with the other Avalanches stories

This was my first audiobook and I loved it.
Childhood friends, best friend’s brother and hockey romance are already great tropes. Adding in forced proximity makes sparks fly between Reed & Holland.

Loved the octopus fact texts and gummy worm sharing

I liked the beginning and the end, the middle bored me a lot, and the main thing in the single dad trope, the idea is that the child has a leading role in the formation of the relationship and here Evan was barely named at the beginning, and I don't like that I read clichés to know what to expect, but if you like that the children in the book are not present, you will love this book.
