Ahhhhhh Reed and Holland!!!! I am so sad I waited so long to read this! I loved this book from the first chapter. I cannot wait to start book 2! Diving head first into the rest of this series immediately!

I loved everything about this book! The story line, the character development, even the pace of the book was great! Maren is an all around fantastic writer. I need more Reed & Holland!

I have not read a lot of the sports romance trope, but true to my Canadian upbringing, how could I not get behind a hockey player romance? Reed is a star NHL hockey player who has recently taken on the single dad role. Emery grew up as the girl next door and is also the best friend of Reed's sister. Emery has had a secret crush on Reed since she was young, and now he has just begged her to go on the road with him to help look after his son. How can she say no when Reed's family feels more like her own? I must admit I enjoyed the book and found it to be a sweet story with a HEA. A single dad trope is not one that I am drawn to, but I did enjoy that as part of Reed's character. I found this a quick and enjoyable read.
