Very little plot stretched thin over too many pages. I usually like angst (as a guilty pleasure) but this was just painful and the great misunderstanding—AKA the one and only plot point—was unimaginably stupid. Also, Bryce is an asshole and with ridiculously poor excuses for his behavior.

This book is a little silly but I kind of love the drama. I’m a sucker for the groveling hero trope. The instigation for their separation is far-fetched and melodramatic, but sometimes that’s fun to read.

The bigger the asshole the harder the grovel and BOY was Bryce a big asshole. And the grovel was so so sweet. Loved the complexity of the characters and the dynamic that Kayla brought into the mix.

A husband's over the top reaction to an unwanted pregnancy ends up in years of misery and misunderstandings. Wished Bronwyn had a lot more backbone in certain parts of the story. I mean, Bryce threw her out, accused her of lying about not taking her contraceptive pills and when he finds her, he is still an a-hole! She also cried a lot but a small detail compare to the rest of this amazing story. Because it is a truly good story. Ms Anders' characters are flawed, especially her heroes. In the previous book a broken marriage had to be rebuilt and in this one, Bryce and Bronwyn, mostly Bronwyn had to forgive her ex-husband and trust in him again. Every time I read a second chance romance and the heroe is hard to like I wonder how will he redeem himself. Part of me wants the heroine to make him suffer until he bleeds. Ms Anders came through and I was pleased. Another excellent story from Ms Anders.
As for the narrator, she is okay. Her accent is an issue but not a huge one. One can still understand most of what she says.
