Alana is given to the King of LA as his future wife. This is her nightmare. He’s fierce and cold, and constantly giving her whiplash with his back and forth. Alex doesn’t do feelings, at least not until his wife. Even though he tries hard not to.
Dark romance. Alex is definitely an asshole. Alana is too sweet for him but they work well together. Not a standalone!

A dark, mafia romance story between Alejandro Montoya and Alana Carmichael. An arranged, loveless marriage and deception at first but ended up with passion and intense love for each other. Alejandro is ruthless when it comes to dealing with the business but at the same time, he's fierce when it comes to Alana's protection. Even to the point of defying his loyalty to eliminate the threat to his family and wife. There's enough steam, suspense and action that I have enjoyed in this book even though I was expecting more side plot. If you cannot stand dark stories, avoid this book as there are trigger warnings that you may not be comfortable with.

Incredible writing. Great smut. There were no random spots in this book where I had to question where a character was or what happened during a scene. Truly an Enemies to lover layout and I’m drooling for more.

LOVED THIS, holy shit, this was my first dark romance/mafia book & i really enjoyed it, loved alejandro and how he was ruthless to everyone but alana after they got together & realised that they were in love. loved alana & that she gave into alejandro even tho she didn’t like him at first. loved that it ended as a cliff hanger
