the plot twist made me wildly uncomfortable, tho i suppose that’s sort of the point. tobias was a little immature at times, but he was mostly sweet so he gets a free pass.

It angers me how bad this book is, I want to gouge my eyes out.

This book... it absolutely blew me away.
At the beginning I didn't like Tobias Cruz very much as he was portrayed as a playboy with an ego so big I wanted to slap him. As the story unfolded I felt so much love for him as he was so very different to what people expected including me. He was kind, thoughtful and loving with only one goal in life that he was striving so hard to achieve. And that was to play Baseball. It was all he wanted and to ensure that happened he had to have extra tutoring to make sure he didn't fail.
Enter Meyer, she instantly grabbed my attention as she had so much on her plate that I don't know how she managed her time and still got Fantastic results in her exams. When she is made to tutor him by the Coach of the Baseball team she hates it but as she spends more time with him realised that he portrays himself to show people what they assume him to be but it's just a smokescreen.
Their relationship is not without it's trials and tribulations and the last part of the story had my heart in my mouth as I was so invested.
Brilliant story and I hope the Echo gets a story for this to turn into a series.

Thank you Sharon J for recommending this book to me. This was an enjoyable read. I love Meagan Brandy’s writing style and characters. In this book, I felt like Tobias and Meyer were great characters. However, I wanted Meyer to have more of a backbone, but I do understand what she is going through. Tobias was my favourite character. I think it is because he is misunderstood by everyone, including Meyer. I think he hides how he truly feels and who he really is because of his “Baseball” Persona. I thought that their romance was sweet, and I really enjoyed them as a couple. Bailey was an adorable addition to the story. I wonder if Meagan will write a story for Bailey and how she falls in love. I am excited to read more books by Meaghan. Overall, a great read.

Break my Heart

Broken and put back together. Such an amazing story and such great character development. Tobias and Meyer have a lot to overcome and I was holding my breath until the end.

I was surprised on how much I enjoyed this book. I normally don’t like romances with kids but thankfully Bailey didn’t talk. There were a couple things I wasn’t really fond of and I think it was mainly at the twist at the end. I had my theories on what was going on but it wasn’t what was really going on. I still did like how the book ended though.
