well it’s 2am and I couldn’t go to bed without finishing this book. it was so good & I was genuinely shocked by the plot twists.
This book was so goood. Omg I absolutely love Tobias. I typically don’t read a lot of books with little spice, but the tension between these two for most of the book was insane and I literally couldn’t put it down. I was seriously shocked by the revelations towards the end of the story, I had a few ideas of what was going on, but definitely did NOT expect that. So worth the read. I definitely teared up several times too.

Meagan Brandy is officially the queen of Angst. Her sports romances are some of my favorite I’ve ever read, so when I saw that she was writing a baseball romance, it was a must read!! Now it’s one of my all time favorite books.
Meagan paints the feelings of the characters in such a way, I felt like I wa experiencing everything with them. There were times where this story even made me tear up, which I was defiantly not expecting. Forget everything you think you know about this book, and throw it out the window, Because dirty curve will defiantly surprise you. This is one of those stories I recommend going into blindly, I personally felt like it made the experience that much more emotional and intense. Plus there’s some twist that you may not see coming.
Tobias and Meyer are now on my list for all time favorite couples, they are up there with Demi and Nico, from one of Meagan Brandy’s other books (fake it til you break it).
“I’ll be anything you want me to be if you just let me be yours”
Tobias shows so much growth throughout this story, at first he comes off as a little full of himself, but underneath that jokey and cocky demeanor, lies the most supportive and loving hero. You will slowly find yourself falling in love with him. He’s up there with my top favorite Book heroes. The way he loves, is that intense “I will die for you” type of love, that I don’t see very often. Tobias is literally everything I look for in a hero.
Now Meyer, I seriously loved her so much. She’s such a giving and caring person. When you first meet her, she’s a little closed off but you quickly find out one of the reasons. I loved how strong and Independent she is. Shes the type of character that will do anything for the people around her. Her life isn’t always easy, but she’s so resilient, and do what is needed to be done to give herself a better life.
“Whatever it is, expect it, want it, demand it even. There’s only one other person in this fucking world I allow to get in my head, but baby, you didn’t ask for permission.”
I couldn’t recommend this book more, seriously!! Dirty Curve is filled with such raw and intense emotions, that are told in such a relatable way, that I couldn’t get enough of. Meagan Brandy has created something special, within these pages.

Very sweet, very determined baseball star, extremely harried student single mom, plus coach evil McA-hole causing them chaos. Really, this guy is the *worst*.
I absolutely loved this book! I’m a sucker for the single parent trope (as a former single parent) and I ate it up. Tobias and Meyer’s chemistry was off the charts and I couldn’t put this book down. My first book by this author and I can’t wait to read more! This is exactly my type of book.
The twists at the end had me sitting on the edge of my seat! I highly recommend this book.

tobias was a raging dick. i’m sorry but if a man ever told me to do his homework or he’d snitch to my boss or he thinks hes the shit, i’d drop out wtf. he went around like he was the man until he realised she was a single mum??? like even if she wasn’t you have no idea what someone’s going through and it doesn’t give you the right to be a raging dick. i hated the coach what a pedo and meyer should’ve anonymously reported him for all the shady shit he was doing to get him out immediately. i liked meyer but her only downside was excusing flipping tobias like she said his skill and his amazing abilities gave him the right to act like that. NO IT DOESNT NOTHING GIVES HIM THE RIGHT TO ACT LIKE THAT. and his insufferable arrogance really did my head in.
This is my first Meagan Brandy book and it certainly won't be my last. I listened to this book on Audible and it was beautifully narrated. I loved everything about this book. While I will openly admit, I thought Tobias was awful at first, he totally grew on me and I loved him in the end. Such a fabulous read.
