After I hit the 50% mark in the book, I was hooked. It was hard to put down and I absolutely loved how much Tobias loved Bailey. The one thing that is keeping me from giving this book 4 stars, is the writing style. There were moments where I personally felt the writing didn’t flow and felt a bit disconnected/choppy. It made it hard to follow what was happening. But I only felt this issue during the first half of the book. Overall I really enjoyed this book! It didn’t posses the same magic that say you swear did for me, but I will always eat up a good single parent/sport romance❤️

Meagan Brandy can write a mfkn book y'all!!!!!

I got this book at 9pm before release day because West Coast perks and I finished at 12:18am. I read this book in 3 hours and worth every minute and the sleep hangover I had the next day!!!!

Tobias MFKN Cruz is literally everything. He has come up on Ponyboy's ass and is resting at my #2 spot (Sorry Mr. #1 Pitcher in the country, nobody takes Ponyboy's position)

If you were wavering on reading this, do yourself a favor and read this damn book.

Meyer is a refreshing new type of character we see from MB and honestly I have already reread this book once (Mile long TBR be damned)

This book. this book. this book!!!!

I went in blind and I am so happy that I did. It was off the charts amazing and simply took my breath away. Meagan never lets me down and this book left me swooning so hard!

Yeah, I really liked this one. It pulled at my heart strings, made me ache, and gave me hope.

Tobias is THE pitcher and he's got a huge head on his shoulders. He is used to getting what he wants. Sometimes the tings he wants can be a bit of a stretch, but he knows his coach will always make it happen. And his coach is someone he looks up to very much. This man basically saved him from a home that constantly disregarded him and because of this, Tobias never felt good enough. All of that changed when coach gave him the hope and drive he needed. So when he falls behind academically and his coach signs him up for tutoring, Tobias does what he's told.

Meyer is a struggling student, but she's smart as hell. So smart that she is in charge of tutoring many students. However, there is one student she doesn't want to tutor.. and that's Tobias. He's an asshole. He's cocky. But above all, he's hot as fuck.

Tobias requires a lot of Meyer's time, and it's time that she doesn't have to give. She is stretched way too thin. But something is forcing her on this path. She hassles around and pushes Tobias as far away as she can, but he wants her and chances her anyways.

As the two spend more time together, feelings start to develop. But Meyer's knows nothing can go further.

Will this thing over her head be the end of their friendship and the end of them?

I loved Tobias and Meyers. I loved their story and how everything developed and I especially loved the twist in this. His interactions with Bailey, Meyer's daughter, literally made me want to curl in a ball and sob happy tears. (You can cue in the daddy issues here).

Truly an amazing book! This is my first by this author and I cannot wait to read more.

What a sweet and sexy story! An addictive and consuming read from start to finish. Dirty Curve surprised with every passing page- the swoony charm, the twists and turns, all the angsty drama, and the pitch perfect chemistry. Tobias and Meyer have become my favorite Meagan Brandy couple- SWOOOON. I could not love them more!

TOBIAS! Hands down my favorite Meagan Brandy hero. Just SWOOON. Oh don’t get me wrong- this guy is a piece of work and a hot mess handful- he’s got that playboy, athlete arrogance and alpha swagger we hate to love. But man is he also a charmer. There’s a subversive sincerity to his character- an authenticity that belies his initial stereotypical hot jock persona. It’s what beneath the surface that makes Tobias so special- and whey he’s my top Meagan Brandy book boyfriend now. Not only is he profoundly gifted- but he’s a stoic hard worker, deliciously emotionally transparent, honest and loyal, and turns out, heart meltingly thoughtful and kind. He has such a big, wonderful, and loving heart- and it makes him so darn hard to resist, and so easy to fall for. Especially for Meyer.

Sweet, sweet Meyer. She’s so different from any other Meagan Brandy heroines- and I must admit, I’m as obsessed with her as I am with Tobias. She’s refreshingly authentic - and a brilliant character foil to Tobias’s free and open confidence. On the surface, Meyer is the pretty nerdy tutor just working to make ends meet, but turns out this girl has secrets on secrets. Secrets Tobias begins to unravel as he earns her trust- and he really has to work for it. Unlike other girls, she’s not easily charmed by Tobias winning smile or reputation. She resists- and we soon learn, for lots of good reasons. This is such a fierce and unexpected character. She’s got such a beautiful soul - and with every passing page I found I admired and adored her more.

Together these two are pure magic. My favorite Meagan Brandy couple yet- I know, sorry Brayshaws. Their chemistry and connection is just really sincere and intimate- and in a maze of constant twists, surprises, and jaw dropping revelations, it is also contrastingly straight forward. They just CLICK. From the early flirtation and budding sexual tension into a really profound and transformative emotional bond. Their connection is what catalyzes their character growth, both find a way to show up for each other in ways no others have- it’s really sweet and emotionally compelling. And for that reason, this is the couple whose love story I have FELT the most in the Meagan Brandy universe.

I simply adored their story- though I do wish we had a bit more time to sit in the ending of the story. A few important things happen off page in our resolution- and we wait a LONG time to find out all the secrets, and they are wrapped up rather quickly. Of course, I loved these characters so intensely I’m just glad we found their HEA, so a slightly less than perfect (for me at least) conclusion didn’t hinder what felt like a pitch perfect connection and story arc for both of these endearing characters.

Yet another scrumptious and ravenously consumable story from Meagan Brandy- hoping for more sports romance in this world!

3.75⭐️ There was a plot twist to this book that totally shocked me. Overall, it was a good book, but there was something about it that made me not like it as much as I wished.

I enjoyed this one…not as much as Say You Swear, but still a great story.

DID NOT FINISH: 31%

Was trying to read with my husband, but was a miserable experience for us both. Tobias is written horrendously. I also got too tripped up by all the typos and improper grammar in sections that weren't even meant to be written colloquially.
