She’s a writer, he’s a producer. He needs a reality tv show.

Reality show romance meets slow-burn, behind-the-scenes longing
• Reverse roles: the woman is the one unsure about love and commitment, while the man is the steady, emotionally in-touch partner
• Fizzy is an absolute delight—funny, raunchy, self-aware, and emotionally complex
• Connor is sweet, respectful, and slowly unravels in the best way

Notable Themes
• The tension between real love and performative romance
• Finding love when you thought you missed your shot
• Being seen and loved for who you really are—even the messy, unsure parts

The finale confession
Fizzy is in the middle of her own “grand gesture” moment. But in typical Fizzy style, it’s big, unfiltered, and ends with both of them shedding the act and choosing each other. No cameras. No edits. Just truth.

he interrupts the show’s finale to confess his love for Fizzy on camera, leading to a genuine and unscripted moment between them.

Their connection is further solidified when they discover they have a high compatibility score on the DNA-based matchmaking app featured in the story, humorously referred to as a “Titanium level” match

I remember reading The Soulmate Equation last year and having so much fun with Fizzy and that's true with this book as well. I enjoyed Fizzy and Connor's story, though the last chapter felt a bit unnecessary to me. There are a lot of dirty jokes in this, which I can understand some people not enjoying but I didn't mind if I didn't think about how old the characters were supposed to be. I also liked getting glimpses of Jess and River's relationship after their book. Low-key didn't like the idea that this was an Asian woman's story written by white women, but the execution was done well enough that I wasn't offended though I did feel some disconnect with how I related to Fizzy because of that.

I can’t put into words how much I could not put this book down. A new fave set of main characters that I grew to love throughout the pages. Truly a fun, innovative, refreshing romance that only reiterates how GOOD the Christina Lauren duo is at what they do.

I have enjoyed some of her books more and some less. Served its purpose of a road trip audiobook

A cute book to end 2024 with... I hadn't read The Soulmate Equation yet, but now I need to know more about Jess and River! However this book was totally understandable even without it. Fizzy and Connor are a great couple and everything you want from a romance book hero and heroine.
