Listened to the audiobook in one sitting (2 hours). It was very informative and easily digestible!

This is a decent resource although it contains some dated language. Don’t feel compelled to read it from cover to cover. Use the table of contents to find what you need. It covers child and adult ADHD, signs and symptoms, treatments, biology, etc. Depending on what you know or what you want to learn, you can skip sections. I found the chapter on subtypes and the the one on treatment particularly interesting.

Great resource for anyone who has ADHD or knows someone with ADHD. The author describes the experience of having ADHD and educates readers on common misconceptions by relating the experiences of a wide range of people with many types of ADHD.

Hallowell has done a fantastic and thorough job for describing ADHD and what steps you can take to better yourself. I myself do not have ADD/ADHD but the book was enjoyable nonetheless. My rating would've been 5/5 but he adds a lot of filler text.

Recommended to me as the most helpful book on ADHD, it certainly was. Practical examples and explanations were given that helped me better understand and have compassion for those in my life with ADHD.
