I have waited for this book. I have counted down the days until the release. You know BookWhisperer loves Jennifer Armentrout’s books so you know this was super high on our priority list to read.
Jackie and I bought the book in hopes that it got released early and on Monday morning when I turned on my iPad and opened my Kindle app, I about had a heart attack….IT WAS THERE FOR ME TO READ! It was like Christmas and my birthday all wrapped up into one day. Every bit of waiting and every minute of lost sleep was completely worth it because this book was amazing. I started Frigid last night around 5pm, when to a work out class, and then came back to finish it up around 1am. I am pretty sure that my work suffered today but I don’t care.
Syd and Kyler were amazing together. Even as friends, they have this perfect chemistry that sucked me in. Each have feelings for each other but neither will express them but the tension between them is insurmountable. To top it off, they get stuck in a snow storm together and this makes them generate some heat to warm up….oh yeah! ☺
What I absolutely loved about this book:
Both characters were awesome and down to earth.
There were fights and there were make-ups.
Every scene with them in it was the best but the one that ranks highest on my list was the sunroom scene…..for real J. Lynn?! That scene was smokin’ hot!
How Kyler cared and looked out for Syd made my heart skip a beat. He was so protective of her and knew how amazing she was that the thought that no one would be good for his Syd, including him.
How Syd longed for Kyler’s love but thought that he would never be interested in a girl like her.
I also loved the fact that towards the end, their friendship was tested (to the max) and it was a struggle for me to not break down because I knew that they were perfect together but lies and revenge got in the way. (I don’t want to give away what happens so I am keeping my mouth shut on this topic.)

I had extremely high expectations for this book and I am so happy to say that they were met! No. This book surpassed my expectations.
I know that the NA books coming out are all rather similar, but Frigid managed to break away from the mold. I loved how the two plot lines mixed together and how neither overshadowed the other. We got both the romance and the mystery. Well, I mean...the person behind the crimes was rather obvious but I still felt the fear that Sydney was experiencing.
I loved all of the characters in this book, especially Andrea! Haha. I found her to be really funny and she was a great friend. Tanner was great too and I was happy when he finally knocked some sense into Kyler.
And then there was Kyler. Oh boy. JLA just has this amazing ability to create the best guys ever. It sucks. For us anyway. But he was amazing, Sydney was amazing, everything was just amazing.
I loved this book. :)

Syd has been in love with her best friend, Kyler, for years. She's tried to have other relationships but no one can match up to what she feels for him. For years she's watched him make his way through every woman in their college and can never understand why he won't give her a chance. Kyler has never seen himself good enough for Syd and tries to find solace in the arms of any woman who would have him. When they find themselves stranded at Kyler's family's cabin in the middle of a snowstorm they finally stop hiding their feelings and come clean. But more danger then just the snow is waiting right outside their door. Can their newly shared feelings survive until the snow melts or will they both let their doubts drive them apart? Really sweet, sexy New Adult story with some great characters and fun character development. Fun read!

really disappointed in this book.
I love when BFF discover their feelings for each other. but this was a weird mix of teen/ sex/ stalker. I felt like reading a harlequin presents for teens... and I'm so hooked to "wait for you" that this book was a major let down in comparison.
too much language too much sex. :(

Sydney has grown up with Kyler and has stood by while he tries to work his way threw the female population. She thinks these are one sided feelings and it breaks her heart to watch him get with a different girl daily.
I was Kyler's best friend and because of that, he would never love me the way I loved him.
Kyler has spent most of his life remembering who he was and trying to prove he is more than the boy from the other side of the train tracks. He has spent the majority of his friendship with Sydney trying to be the guy she deserves and he thinks he always comes up short. Kyler is waiting for the day when Syd see's how much better than him she is. Because of this Kyler never lets himself think about how much he cares for her and loves her in more than a friendship way.
in their senior year of college Kyler and Syd go up to his cabin near a ski resort, but a huge storm prevents anyone else from getting up and Kyler and Syd from getting home. While being stuck alone Kyler and Syd are forced to deal with the feeling they have for one another.
Sydney is the typical college girl pinning for her best friend. She socializes but never seems to take an interest in other guys because subconsciously they never meet up to Kyler. After syd was hurt by her high school boyfriend she used that as an excuse to keep guys away. While at the cabin Syd realizes that after this semester Kyler will go on to work in the family business while she stays in school and she soon sees if she doesn't tell him how she feels he will slowly disappear from her life. So Syd tells herself to grow some "ladyballs" and deal with these feelings.
I didn't like Syd that much to me she was funny but she also was a little to inside herself for me to really understand her. I really didn't know why her and Kyler were still friends she seemed to be a little to anti social to mix with him so well. But I guess opposites attract.
Kyler was the man whore who cared about no one but Syd. Kyler saw Syd as the girl he could never have but the girl he cared about more than himself. Kyler was sexy swoon worthy. He also had brains and that cocky personality that made him irresistible.
I really liked Kyler he was smart funny and had that kind of arrogant attitude that always comes off funny instead of douchy. He also was really sweet and I liked how he felt Syd deserved so much more than what he thought she wanted from him. He was also an all around good guy when it came to others.
"If I fall and break my neck will you say something nice at my funeral? Like "Kyler was usually more graceful?"
This book has some surprises in it in the way things happened as well as the things that happened at the cabin. Giving it more excitement than I first expected from the book. It was a light funny read, nothing to dark happens and everyone is sane with a decent past. If you're looking for a quick good read this is defiantly it.

I've liked J. Lynn's other books but this one was just clunky. How could two people who have been friends for this long have such a misunderstanding about the other? Wasn't believable for best friends.
“A volte le parole non sono abbastanza per descrivere ciò che si prova.”
Why don't I give it a 5 stars as I usually do to Armentrout' s books? Well, I think that she has found a formula that works and is sticking to it, but after several books it has started losing its magic: Innocent girl meets sexy guy and they can't believe the other might want him/her and half way through they hook up and have torrid sex, then some action, followed up by some misunderstandings and everything ends with an absolute perfection. Does it ring any bells? He'll yeah!!!
All in all it was enjoyable, sexy, the guy it to die for.
