Este libro me ayudó a entender lo mucho que Jennifer L. Armentrout a crecido como escritora, porque la saga de "De sangre y cenizas" es una joya y este libro... bueno digamos que no ha sido lo que yo esperaba.
TODOS los problemas en este libro se dieron por una falta de comunicación, lo cual es bastante frustrante. Creo que para mí todo se arruinó desde el comienzo cuando Kyler claramente frustraba todos los intentos de acercarse de los demás chicos y no hacía nada por admitir sus propios sentimientos, es decir que no comía ni dejaba comer.

General Thoughts: I adore Jennifer L. Armentrout. I also love many of the books she has written under the name J. Lynn. She's written some of my favorite books in a variety of genres. I read this book years ago, but since she's re-releasing the books, I decided to reread them. This time, I listened on audio. I didn't love the female narrator. I thought she made me like Sydney less than I did when I read it originally. But I liked the male narrator quite a bit.
I can tell this is early Jennifer L. Armentrout. She's always been a good writer, and that shows here. However, I feel like she improved with her later books in this genre and other genres. This book had a bit too strong of "not like other girls" vibes for me now that I'm a bit older. I also felt like Sydney for having been friends with Kyler should have thought more highly of him and given him more of a benefit of the doubt.
Miscommunication is such a realistic trope, but I thought it dragged a bit long. I still enjoyed it. Jennifer L Armentrout always creates characters with strong voices and personalities. It was fun visiting this one again. Not my favorite, but still a really fun solid read.
