This was a quick and easy read! Not the height of literature but it’ll do he job to get you out of a slump.
It was alright for a romance novel. I picked it up because it featured two characters that were closer to my age so it was quite reliable.
However, I felt that Kyler's use of "baby" was so out of place; like the author was trying too hard to make him sound like a bro. Additionally, I appreciate the complexity she tried to create in regards to his tattoo, but the fact that it meant "this is forever" was SO hilarious because of its level of irony that it was ridiculous. I literally laughed out loud.

Is there anything that Jennifer can't write well? I mean seriously!
This was one of my first New Adult reads and it was a very good way to start into a new genre. For one Jennifer Armentrout is a great writer, she has the ability to suck readers into her story from the first page, and I honesty could not stop reading this book.
In comparison to all the other New Adult reads I have read, this is probably the most explicit sex wise. I will say that I loved the sexual tension from the beginning, Kyler and Sydney were great characters, they each had feelings for the other but they both had insecurities about why the other one shouldn't like them back. I will admit that at one point I wanted to smack both of them and just say "get together already" because it was getting a bit much. But WOW, once they got together, they got together!
This book is NOT for teens in any way shape or form, there were some scenes in this book that even made me blush, but I think that is what made this book such a great read. Jennifer explored what all young woman want, a man to focus all his attention on her, and make her feel things no one else has. And it made this book a quick and easy read.
Although I though the conflict at the end was a little over the top, I did really like the reactions from the characters because they seemed real and that is something that can be hard to translate on paper. I loved that Sydney and Kyler's relationship was rocky and was not perfection throughout the whole book. They fought their insecurities and had to deal with situations that showed their true colors. It was a great way to see their characters grow and expand. I am really hoping for another book featuring these two characters because I would love to see where their relationship goes.

I love all of her books... this was no exception. Kyler is your sexy bad boy and Sydney (Syd) is your sweet innocent good girl. Both of them deny their feelings for each other until they get thrown together in a snow storm... While the storyline is nothing new, you have to love the characters and all of the steamy scenes that make you want to be these characters.
I LOVE Armentrout's YA stories, but I just can't get into her adult stuff. For one, it's like she figures the people who read Adult contemp. or New Adult don't care about editing (NOT TRUE)... ALL her stories as J Lynn are in dire need of editing.
I also had a hard time with Lynn's use of the work 'punch.' I had enough of the air being punched out of the characters... having a punch in the gut, or gazes making their breaths "punch" out of them... really... and locking gazes... over... and over.... and over... and over... again.
This story in particular is filled with adult genre cliches, nothing like the originality of her Lux series.
Kyler's an idiot. Plain and simple. Sydney's not much better. She's wishy-washy and is always so surprised about people's positive opinions about her.
Even though her other story, Wait For You, had the same editing problems, it was a MUCH better story in terms of plot and characterizations.
For that... it gets a 2.5 star rating.
And to the author: Please edit your adult stories... if you can't... then stick to your YA... I'd read another LUX over these ANY DAY.

Classic Jennifer L. Armentrout.
I just found this book so enjoyable. It's not some deep philosophical book it's just an addicting epic joyride. I just wanted the story to never end. I'm so excited to continue reading more and more of her books. She writes like 10 years so I can not wait.
