Frigid follows Sydney and her best friend Kyler, who she is in love with, as they go on a trip to ski resort, and they get trapped during a snow storm.

Frigid is a perfect childhood best friends-to-lovers story. I loved Sydney and Kyler’s relationship, beyond the total miscommunication between them. The slow burn and angst between the two of them was good.

The thriller plotline was intense and well done if a little predictable, but it still felt out of place in a story about a budding romance. Kyler’s POV felt a little forced as well.

Overall, while it had it faults, it was a cute romance, with an interesting thrill aspect.

2.75 stars.

I was actually recommended this book by someone on TikTok as the perfect quick read if you're in the mood for a wintery setting and some hot romance. I'm still trying to finish my Goodreads challenge of 45 books so I thought this was a great idea! I managed to check it out from Libby and read it on the Kindle app on my phone--not ideal for the screen time, but definitely convenient.

While Syd and Kyler were pretty average, trope-y characters for me (the shy one and the man-whore), the setting of this was the saving grace. Syd and Kyler get snowed in at a ski resort, and there's a bit of a mystery plot that keeps it exciting. This book was nothing extraordinary, but nothing bad either.

Carino, le scene spicy all’inizio >>>

The stalking element  wasn’t my favorite.

Another solid book from Jennifer. It’s not her best work but an enjoyable read none the less. The spice is nice as is the chemistry between the main characters. I listened to the audio version and I actually think that took away from the story a bit. I think I would of enjoyed it more if I had just read it. If you are into friends to lovers, stranded or miscommunication tropes, you’ll enjoy this book.

If I didn't hate the hero so much, I MIGHT have given this book three stars. However, he was a dick. And an idiot. And even though he said he wasn't just interested in sex with Syd, they spent 90% of the damn novel having sex. No conversations, no hints that they had actually been friends for years, no slow burn. I'm not an erotica/sex scene fan, and I skipped 65% of this book. I wish I'd had something else to read, some other part of the story.

Also, the girl was just a carbon copy of the heroine from Wait For You, just without the crazy backstory and red hair. They even used the same phrases. A little variety, please.

Got bored. Disliked Sydney. Didn't connect with them.

Story concept is good. I enjoy friends to lovers and being stranded somewhere but that's about it. Overall it felt like a filler book.

Still happy to read JLAs books. This just wasn't my favourite.

So I was hesitant about this book, because as much as I love YA Jennifer Armentrout, Adult J. Lynn has never been my favorite. I'm glad that this book changed my opinion.
The story moved at a good pace, and whine the characters were ultimately predictable, I really enjoyed them. The best part: there was no lacking of the Jennifer Armentrout wit that makes her YA books so fun to read.
Recommend to all romance lovers
