I read this so quickly I don't know what to think. At first I thought it was ridiculous. As I continued to read I got caught up in the ridiculousness. Before I knew it I was finished with the book contemplating finding the next book to read it.

I've decided to stop forcing myself through this. Made it to 14% and I just can't. The characters are flat and unlikeable. I LOVE Armentrout's YA series, but I guess I don't like her NA. *shrugs* If you like this then more power to you. I am just not impressed.

You will notice first off that there is no rating for this book. I know some people rate a book they don't finish 0 or 1 star, but IMO - if I don't finish a book I can't actually give it a star rating. All I can do is to tell you WHY I didn't finish it.

You guys, I only made it to 14% before I had to stop. It was making me RAGE. Both main characters are IDIOTS. Like, I don't think they would have made it into college in real life. They would be flipping burgers at a fast food place (no offense to you if that is what you do).

The story starts off at a bar. Ok, no problem. The girl is sitting there, staring at the boy, whining about how she can't have him, and not wanting to go over there, because there is a girl practically doing him right there at the table. But they are supposed to be best friends ... I'm sorry, if my "best friend" did that in public ALL THE TIME, whether I am in love with him or not, we wouldn't be hanging out much anymore. That is just RUDE. And gross. And it obviously bothers her, so the fact that he does it at all is inconsiderate.

Then we get to his POV. While this random chick is making out with him, he is all wondering where his "best friend" is ... again, RUDE. If you are trying to pick up chicks, then pick up chicks. Don't just sit there and let them make out with you while you are waiting for another girl to show up.

So they finally hang out, after he pushes the chick off him (poor baby, having to push girls away) and he pulls her onto his lap, and at that point I think I blacked out from the WTF-ery happening. I don't ... anyway, the next thing I remember is the next morning, when she shows up to his dorm to leave for their trip. And surprise surprise, random chick from the bar is there. But you know, they didn't sleep together, yet he lets his "friend" think they did. WHAT SENSE DOES THAT MAKE? I don't comprehend any of it.

I finally stopped after they got in the car to start driving and started arguing, about something idiotic I think, I really don't remember. All I remember is thinking "I am only at 14%, am I really going to stop this early in? Yes. Yes I am." These two characters barely acted like they knew and liked each other, let alone are BEST FRIENDS for years. And I just couldn't take it anymore.

I REALLY wanted to like this book, and honestly had been looking forward to it for MONTHS. I've loved the author's YA books, and will continue to read those series, but I think if this is how her NA books are, I won't read anymore.

I dont know where to start explaining how unbelievable this book was! As usual Jennifer doesnt disappoint, once you start reading any of her books it's pretty much guaranteed that you will be hooked and never disappointed and Frigid was no different.
The synopsis alone was enough to catch my attention, a great friendship threatened by love they both thought was unrequitted and made sure they kept hidden from each other, a super hot guy that took sex as a sport and girls as medals, and an unfortunate blizzard that leaves them stranded with each other in a lavish ski resort.... I mean does it get better than that?
Jennifer is just plain hilarious, I had to highlight 1/2 the book because she came up with phrases that just had me laughing out loud every other page, little gems like "oh sweet baby Jesus in a merry-go-round" and like that there is a whole lot LOL!
Jennifer develops characters like nobody else, in no time you find yourself sympathizing with Sydney and lusting after Kyler, the fact that Frigid is written from a dual POV lets you get into Kyler's head and see how differently men handle an exact situation than women.
Kyler is soooooo dreamy! Impossible not to fall in love with him, and like we needed more incentive to totally drool for him, he plays the guitar and loves Dave Matthews Band...swoon!!!
Frigid had me laughing to the point of tears, and then it had me crying in total heartbreak, and crying again with overwhelming feels! (the good kind of feels).
Did I mention it's hot hot hot? Well it is! Never dull, never repetitive just the right amount of smexy every girl needs :)
If you havent bought Frigid yet I suggest you drop whatever you are doing and go get yourself a copy and get lost with Kyler and Syd in Snowshoe ;) you can thank me later!

*le sigh*

awesome

ARMS ARE-A FLAILING!!
This story was amazing, even with all the sexy times. I loved the characters, they are amazing.
Sydney I related to on so many levels, from her loving-wholly to her being body conscious. She's 21, tiny and has a heart of gold. She's became one of my favourite characters, and I love how much adoration and faith she has in Kyler, because she sticks by him, through all his cock-ups!
Kyler is one of those characters you want to hug tightly, as well as kick hard in the balls. Though I love how protective, and how much he cares for Sydney. Most of all I love how they are both totally clueless of how they feel about one another.
I can totally see this as a movie, but they'd probably never air all that sex in that manner. (In spite of FSOG!)

Oh, I enjoyed reading this book again! So great, and now I just need to read more!

Oh, man, really enjoyed this book, parts were sweet, others were edging into PG-18/R territory, and yeah, just a great book!

What is it about J Lynn? Boy does she write a good tale! This was an absorbing story and the relationship between Sydney and Kyler drew you in. The scenes were beautifully written and steamy at times. Loved this, a well deserved 5 stars.

4.5 stars! Red my spoiler-free review here:

Loved this book! These type of stories are my favorite. Long time best friends who one of them is in love with the other but doesn't know it. I just love the drama and angst that goes along with those situations.

Syd and Kyler are BFFs and have been since they were kids. Their story is told in alternating POVs, which I really loved! I liked seeing perspective from both of them.
Spoiler Although, I really didn't need to be in Kyler's head to know how he felt about Syd. It was pretty obvious he loves her just as much as she loves him.

I was hooked from the first sentence and couldn't put this one down. I read this book in one sitting....stayed up until 4am to finish and it was totally worth it!
