This just was not good. I wasn’t expecting something amazing, but at least decent. But this wasn’t. First of all, the writing was so basic. It was just “I said this” of “he did that and I felt this” like there was no variation in the writing. It makes me feel like anyone could have written this.
Also the ending. It’s extremely abrupt and nothing adds up. Just didn’t give any closure like a ending should. Also this just wasn’t scary or suspenseful and all the characters were so basic and flat. 2 stars

Surprisingly shorter than I expected. It was waiting for Hook guy to show up and he never did. The movie was so far from the book I couldn't believe it. Good quick read. Left me hanging for more at the end but I guess that's a good story if you are left wondering

Blah…This book was really awful. It is nothing like the movies. I mean there was no excitement, except a few pages and they weren’t even that intense. No suspense. Just blah…
I thought about not finishing it, but it was only 200 pages and I figured I’d force my way through. Not worth it.

Decently paced book, but it does front load a lot of exposition at the beginning. And the book doesn't so much end as stop. The reveal of the person sending the notes was actually very well done.
