This book was great. The plot was cute and easy to follow, while not being to predictable. I love all the charcters, and I can’t wait to see what develops with Anna and her new friend. I am hoping Freya and Greg story continues through out the next book and so on. As I did not get nearly enough on them. I think they will make a great power couple. As for Anna. I’m ready to dive into book two and see what happens. I give this book 5 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 Sunshyne’s.

This story in this book was so amazing it was not what I was expecting at all. Like the characters in the book were written really beautifully into this book. I love how this was a love hate type relationship between the two main characters and I love that he fallen in love with her as soon as he move in the apartment building like that is so sweet and she didn’t like because of his job and I understood why she did not like him at first but as time went on she starting seeing that just because he was an lawyer does mean he a bad person. I didn’t like how how her little sister got involved but I think that is what all little sister do to their older sister because she want her to be happy after the tragic death of their parents like I get that part but I think the older sister was right she could of went about a different ways then what she did but at the end they both found happiness and love from two different guys. I’m happy that got marry and are starting a family I can’t wait to see what to come in the other books to see if found out what they are having and how they are as parents.

Perfect for You (A Laurel Heights Novel) Perfect For You is a fun book. It's a little cheesy and not very realistic but enjoyable just the same. It's not the type of story I expected by the cover. A couple frolicking on the beach really has nothing to do with the story at all. Instead it is the story of Freya, an artist struggling to find her missing muse. She believes that all she needs are a few nights with a sexy man that she has yet to meet. Instead she finds her inspiration with the least likely of men, the ridiculously hot lawyer who lives upstairs. The problem is that she hates lawyers and assumes he must be a master manipulator due to this career.
[spoiler]
With some help from Freya's sister, Greg ends up convincing her that he is not only the perfect one to spice up her life but also the man of her dreams.

I tried to think of several ways to start this review, but I think going for simple and direct-to-the-point is best. But to sum up my thoughts: If I wasn't annoyed, I was bored. Perfect for You could not be any more not perfect for me.

Reasons why I intensely disliked Perfect for You:

1.) Freya has lost her muse, so in a flash of inspiration, she decides to post an ad that she is a lonely woman in need of a man. (Unfortunately, she sucks, so her best friend writes it for her instead).

Her neighbor, Greg has always wanted her, but Freya has some silly prejudice with her neighbor because he is a lawyer, and a lawyer once betrayed her father. That apparently means ALL friggin lawyers are evil. I can understand if she'd hate that particular lawyer, but it seems a bit judgemental of her to say that every lawyer is conniving.

2.) Freya dates multiple guys at once. I understand that she and Greg are not committed yet or exclusive, but the fact that she knows she likes Greg, has sex with him, but still kisses another guy (more than once) to see if she really liked him makes me lose a helluva lot of self respect for her. One thing I never want to read about is the fickle main character. I know she feels nothing for Connor, but to me, it's inexcusable that she would tolerate dating another guy, trying to lead him on and flirting back with him. Why would anyone do that? What if Greg was watching? How can she not consider how it would hurt him?

3.) You know that moment in a film where the guy is caught with some other woman, but he isn't really cheating on the main female character, it's just that she was peeking at the wrong time? This book has that kind of moment. When Freya's sister, Anna, tries to sabotage her sister's dates, the hero is blamed for it, and she
won't let him explain.

I mean, he opens his mouth, but she just won't stop talking and everything else is shot down to hell. I can understand that she's pissed off, but she won't even hear what he's trying to say.

I don't know why I continue to read these Amazon freebies. 75% of what I choose to read are mostly angsty romancy stuff (which get are often teeth-grinding and hair-pulling)f, 20% are just okay reads, while the other 5% are the real gems.

-edit-

Oh no, it's New Year. Here's to hoping I won't get be rating 2 star reviews the whole year. >.<

A great read, very predictable but doesn't make it any less fun. At least for me! I'm a sap so anything lovey-dovey is perfect for me. Don't go into this expecting something award-winning but still very enjoyable!

I am glad this was free. It was predictable and the plot was not the best but it was readable.

i’m not gonna lie, this was a good one! neighbors to lovers, family drama, best friend siblings, slow burn - this felt like a short book but packed with so much! did I mention it was also spicy

Classic romance book.

boy likes girl. girl likes bit but not his job. sister gets involved and boy and girl live happy every after.

well close to that anyway. Greg likes Freya but Freya hates that Greg is a lawyer. she dates other men but can't find Mr right. her work is suffering until her passionate night with Greg. now her mojo is back at work and Greg is on her mind. the sister tries to matchmaker and falls in love with the neighbour herself. Freya and Greg finally get their act together and get together. great light hearted romance to read.
