''I wanted to dash myself against your rocks like a wave, to obliterate my old self and see what rose shining and new from the sea foam. The only words I had to describe you in those early days were plunging cliffside or primordial sea, crystal-cold stars or black expanse of sky. I dove down deep into your psyche, turning over every word you gave me like a jewel. Looking for meaning, seeking out the mysteries of you. I didn’t care if I lost myself in the process. I wanted to be brought by the hand into your world and disappear into your kiss until us two could no longer be told apart.''

Screaming, crying, throwing up. This was poetry. It might not be for everyone, but it sure was for me.

Beautiful dark, gothic setting and and intriguing POV. The narration is the female MC who’s talking to her abusive lover. The writing really pulls you in. It's just so beautifully written.

This sure was a palate cleanse, my last experience with vampires being Twilight.

Very broody and atmospheric and although a little thin in both plot and length it's a dark vampire fantasy that held my attention.

This book knocked me on my ass from the first time I read it and still astounded me with its beauty every subsequent re-read.

The prose is atmospheric and absolutely gorgeous. The story of Dracula being told as a story of love, abuse, betrayal, and freedom from the POV of his brides? A completely fresh take that took my breath away.

S.T. Gibson writes a gripping and evocative tale full of heart, heartache, and heartbreak. It’s the story of survival and I feel like a lot of people can resonate with that.

It’s a forever favorite for me and I’m so glad I have an original copy before the reprint! It’s worth more than gold to me!

If you're looking for a book to pull out of slump this will do it. Audiobook is great too.

really lived the atmosphere and was kinda shocked the way dracula’s ass would have made me a victim too bc why is his name never said yet i was charmed… really says something about the writing that it achieved that in so few pages
