Again, all of the stars.
I really don't understand how Mr Sanderson does it. I don't.

really really solid. i shipped breeze and clubbs the whole damn book. i didn't experience any of the difficulty i had reading the first book way back when with the physical copy of this one, but i'm excited to hear graphic audio's rendition of it once i've had time to let it digest

The least interesting of the series. Feels like a place holder between the first and the last

I'm truly in awe of this series and brandon sanderson. I cannot express how beautifully written the characters, plot, magic system, individual scenes and the story overall are.
personally I'm a major enjoyer of books that focus on political struggles and the well of ascension gave me exactly that. but we also have wonderful character bonding moments, gripping action scenes and a good mixture of silly humour and emotional devastation (adore that.)

I have been reading this for almost exactly 8 months - purely due to my brain's inability to comprehend being able to read such a large book while being in a tad bit of a reading slump - so honestly I don't remember a whole lot from the beginning of this book, but I know for certain that I loved it every time I picked it back up.

the ending had me on a rollercoaster of emotions. brandon, sir, I would love to have some words with you 😑 and I am thoroughly looking forward to the third book which I am sure will do just the same.

cannot! recommend! this! series! enough!

Another great entry from Sanderson. I can't give this a 5 star like Mistborn, but boy was it close. The hype train lives on with this book.

Again, the world-building is detailed without being bloated, and the characters are developed well. This book spends more time with some side characters that we saw less of in the first book, which I enjoyed greatly.

There's another great twist at the end, leading to a much more melancholy resolution - and a bit of a cliffhanger ending. This left me wanting more, and eager to dig into the final book to see what becomes of the characters and their story.

Absolutely recommend this to anyone who loves a morally complex and emotionally challenging fantasy novel. So glad I picked this series up.
