I starting reading the series many years (I think it was 2007). Love the series, and the characters have a way of grasping you heart so you feel everything single joy and terroir that they experience.
I listened to Winterlight on audiobook and it transported me back to a land that I’ve grown to love. Karigan has had a brilliant character arch and I truly look forward to what dangers she’ll find herself involved with next (and how she’ll prevail).
My only complaint is that Winterlight ended and I have to wait for the next book release.

I thought that this was going to be the last book in the main series because I didn't see any later updates on the author's site. The series is a little frustrating. It has a YA style thing where everything happens to the main character and the constantly escalating danger, but for all that I enjoy reading it.

I would like to think that this is leading up to the conclusion that has been taking literal decades to get to. This last volume had all of the lovely bits about Green Rider that I find make this series so endearing. It was wonderful to see this story finally being taken seriously by its author. (I'm still bitter about Mirror Sight)

I do feel like Britain is still uncertain about what ending she wants to and used a lot of this book to get rid of any potential plot holes and so some aspects felt awfully convenient, but I'm holding my breath until the end to see if it all leads to an epic conclusion.

Totally worth the wait! Karigan's grappling with her mental health and PTSD felt authentic and I'm glad that wasn't brushed under the rug.
Not sure how I feel about her and Zachary and concerned about what book 8 will bring + the gods telling her that future has suffering unlike what she has experienced until now...
I was also surprised by some characters (Connely!? Beryl not following through and her demise, Mapstone!!) and Karigan's added titles...overall big fan, can't wait till the next one.

My favorite series ever. Her writing is still amazing and we are 7 books in. A great balance of action, character development, and emotional pull. I wish more series were like this. I need Karigan & Zachary to be together though, the wait is killing me!
