My reading and reviews of embarrassing YA fantasy novels continue. This is the next to last book in the Green Rider series and I thought this book really advanced the series. Some of the books in the series have been terrible, but this one was everything I could want from a cheesy, action packed, YA fantasy. Horse girls and adventure and magic? As always, I'm sold. That said, some things about the book irritated me (captives, AGAIN right off the bat and the introduction of yet more side stories). But overall, a light and enjoyable addition to the series.

Solidly entertaining, and builds well on the previous books.

I'm not sure what to say. This book contained so much. And I am sad that it is over, for now. So I must await what is claimed to be the final book in this series. I gave this 5 stars, but it was really closer to 4.5. However, Goodreads doesn't allow for half stars. This was better than 4, so, I rounded up. This installment in the Green Rider series felt like a very intense rollercoaster ride. Highs, lows, and calm point in between those. And of course, the ending left me going "Wait! No! I need to read more!" Is the book long? Yes. Probably the longest I'll read this year. But, it didn't feel like it. So much action and intense scenes kept me going and going.
