This book needs a massive trigger warning for suicidal thoughts and narcissistic abuse. Additionally, as a medical marijuana patient, the depiction of the dispensary was insulting.

It lost me when the Rabbi conducting her MMJ consultation just starts smoking a bong in the middle of her appointment like some sort of stereotype.

Wow, that was. interesting! I don’t read romances often, so I may be biased, but this was not a very well-written book. The entire second half is basically just a long advert for medical marijuana (which is fine, but it was NOT marketed that way) and the editing gets poorer and poorer as the book goes on. Towards the end there are repeat sentences and paragraphs, as well as grammatical issues, and the ending felt extremely rushed. Also, pork is not kosher, but the author continually makes reference to kosher pork products such as bacon and ham hocks, which I found extremely strange as the author is Jewish, writing a book about a Jewish characters in a kosher bakery.
