Jean Meltzer doesn’t again weaving a story of finding joy and hope while living with a chronic condition. Bringing light some of the issues people have when seeking doctors help and alternative methods all while wooing you with a sweet romance. I LOVED IT.

Such a sweet and very real (yet still with the best of the tropes) portrayal of relationship with chronic illness. I really loved these characters a lot!

The first half drags quite a bit, and the 2 main leads are touched starved to say the least.
Things took a wild turn when I started reading what I can only describe as a pamphlet on the health benefits of medicinal cannabis presented by a Rabbi.
I also was not expecting Ethan, who has no experience with baking or cannabis or life skills in general, is able to just make homemade edibles? His kindness and willingness to fight alongside our leading lady is heartwarming, but unrealistic.
Avital is where it is at, though. Her depiction of struggling with a chronic illness and how it leaves you feeling alone and empty despite being surrounded with a support structure, and fighting with the medical system just so you can feel like you are in control of yourself pushes this book beyond the typical romance read.
All in all, a solid read. Some sections could have been cut shorter, a lot of the horniness could have been left out, but I walked away with something gained.

A cute romance set in NYC with a FMC who struggles with chronic illness/pain. It was funny and sweet, eye opening and charming. I loved it.
