While I didn't love this one as much as I did MY HEART IS A CHAINSAW -- it's not packed with the same emotion -- it does a pretty impressive job bringing together many, many difficult threads and weaving them into a fascinating tapestry.

Jade remains awesome, though.

SGJ is back in the zone, and I was so happy to be back with Jade in Proofrock.

There’s a lot going on here, and sometimes I think it overreaches (that ghost elk was a little much) but it delivers a perfect middle part to the trilogy. Can’t wait for the final chapter (even though there’s never REALLY a final chapter in a slasher franchise).

Adorah Nworah has created a complex cast of characters, with a fierce heroine you root for from the very first page. I recommend this book to fans of slow-burn thrillers and strong female leads. You will be on the edge of your seat until the very last page.
