I will preface by saying this is my first book from this author and now I realize it's a spinoff of a larger series - this hampered me, because characters and events were mentioned as throwaways which made little to no sense to me, but I suspect those were easter eggs from the larger universe?Anyway I got bored and frustrated with this book. Firstly it's too long and could be shorter by half with less smut. Calling this a romance is a BIG stretch. It's two horny people enemy to lovering but all their sex is transactional and the sex gets so in the way of the pacing and moving the plot forward. I won't be continuing, although I do think I would like Sloth's book, unless it was more of the same. This had promise in the premise but I found it shallow and unsatisfying in the end.
