No spoilers: 4 ⭐️ is being generous. I really like the premise of the book but the execution isn't all that great. I feel like the author builds up the story really well but makes a very climatic scene very anticlimactic. So even betrayals don't seem as dramatic as they deserve. The characters personalities are just so bland. Like there's no emotion behind anything they're all the same. 4 stars is being generous in all honesty. I saw most of the plot twists coming it was too predictable. I really hope the last book makes the series worth it because I'm gonna be really annoyed if I read all 3 books just to be met with pure disappointment.

4.5/5 stars. Great sequel and overall a very good read. I seemed to get a little frustrated with Jude’s changing attitude at times and the constant complaining, however i still enjoyed reading this book since I flew through it. I enjoyed the ending the most, but I did find myself predicting some events. I will definitely read the third and final book but this hasn’t made it to my favorites.

”Once upon a time, there was a human girl stolen away by faeries, and because of that, she swore to destroy them.”

Yup once again. Deserves all the hype.

Although Jude came out on top after Book 1, this one felt like failure after failure for her. It’s quite frustrating to watch the “protagonist” not have everything go their way, but it feels very fitting for this series. I am once again curious to know how this story will end.

I wills also like to state my upset over everything to do with Taryn…she was forgiven…why? There was quite literally zero consequences to any of her actions, and while she was forgiven, she got worse and still actively acted against Jude. My anger issues could never. I want her and Locke to be brought to justice in the next book, I want revenge at its finest.

maybe its because of "the poppy war" that this like falls flat when it comes to the war aspect of it but it feels so odd for Cardan to do what he does? like Jude goes missing for a month and i guess we dont see him progress as a character during that month but it feels so odd for Cardan to sacrifice people for Jude's return and then marry her and then exile her?? like what?? im so confused and dont understand ;-;
