This one was both a welcome display of growth but also MADDENING. The betrayals around every corner. THE ENDING. For all her efforts…Jude can’t seem to win.

This book had much better pacing than the first, maybe since there wasn’t much need for setup or exposition, but it was a smoother read overall. Some of the scenes were deliciously intense (“I want to tell you so many lies” 🫠) and Cardan finally shows some self reflection and growth that was much needed.

I have a feeling TWK and TCP were all setup for a very fulfilling third book, and I hope I’m right…good luck to me.🤞

I reeeeeally do not want to wait until 2020 for the next book in this series. Though I have read and enjoyed a couple of books in the faerie realm, I was never a huge fan until now. Thank you Holly! The Wicked King is such a fast paced, great read. I love Jude and the other central characters in this book. There were many twists and turns and the ending totally surprised me; which I loved! Everyone MUST read this series!!
