This story brought me such joy! It was so adorable, had me giggling  and just such a fun and cozy read. I loved the small town vibes mixed in with the magical and faerie elements! Not only did it have a shadow daddy, there was a sassy little fox familiar and a determine woman backed by a coven of witchy friends that were so much fun and so supportive. We get to see Hannah and Severin make a deal to get married which had benefits for both of them but watch them each grow and find themselves while also falling for each other. The element of the bride games was tons of fun and so creative. I was just living for the story telling and vibes and for sure need to read the original series and cannot wait for the next book.

Thankyou Krista for this eARC!

I LOVED this book so much, Krista is one of my favorite authors and this book was exactly what I needed right now!

This was a cosy story set in a small town with magic, talking animals, trials and my fave thing... BAKING

Severin was a lovely MC who truly wanted to change from his (accidental!) old evil ways and Hannah was the perfect FC to show him just how lovely he could be. The grumpyXsunshine alongside the fake marriage was just my kinda tropes and did not disappoint and neither did the spice.

If you like small town romances with a HEA and found family then this book will be right up your street!

Just wasn't for me, not used to reading this type of writing and it just threw me off, I can see the concept but just wasn't for me

3 totally fine smex scenes. Cute little cozy plot for the mayor pairing up with a shadow daddy cinnamon role fae to save the town.

This was a nice cosy book, nothing too exciting. I liked the town and the magic, the tulips were my favourite. Even though this is book one, it became obvious that this is a spin off of an existing series, I think I would rather have known about the other books first because some of the background and intro seemed a bit abrupt. I’m actually interested in the side characters and books they may be set up with in the future.

~ Faking With The Fae King ~
By Krista Luna

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟✨

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

About:
Hannah a baby witch and Mayor of Ferndale Falls, a recently magical small town, is working her hardest to keep things from falling apart. When one day a Fae king appears in the sky with an offer she can afford to refuse, marry him for a year and a day and King Severin will make sure Ferndale Falls will be safe from the outside world and thrive.
The only catch, Hannah must win one of three Bridal Trials to for fill their agreement.
But as time goes by Hannah releases she may want more with the Shadow fae king than just a fake engagement….

My Thoughts:
This book was a such a delightful read! The story was funny and unique with loveable characters and colourful settings.
Hannah and Severin’s relationship grew in national way that made it impossible to be invested in their story.
And it wasn’t only the main characters that stood out in this book, but the side characters where just as likeable and vibrant. Hannah’s friend group left me smiling and hoping to see more of them in the future.
And all the discriminations of food left me wishing for my own Brownie fae baker.
Even though I love everything about this book, my all time favourite has to be Finn, Hannah’s charming talking Fox!

If you like sound a romcom with a magical small town, talking animals, dashing fae, vivid descriptions and magical Trials?
Then you need to read this book!
Hands down this book is now a favourite book of mine 💕🧚‍♂️✨
